How does the news about churches potentially reopening impact Bethany Church in the short-term? We continue to believe that churches are essential services. Bethany Church never closed; we simply left the building! We have paused gatherings in our worship center, but church has never stopped.
Given the limitations on group size, the constraints on our public spaces, and the ban on corporate singing and children’s ministry, we have paused our in-person Sunday gatherings. However, we have begun meeting on campus for prayer gatherings and the like. We will continue to hold similar services, as it has been so good to see everyone face-to-face once again!
Our weekend worship gatherings and small groups will continue at home for now. We are so deeply grateful for those who have been faithfully speeding the gospel through digital channels during this season!
Please pray with us as we strive to arrive at a wise timeline and strategy that will consider those ready to return now, as well as those reticent to return. We are striving to resume large gatherings in a way that is both safe and a celebration for all of our Bethany Church family. Our leadership team is diligently seeking the Lord, daily referencing state and local guidelines, and actively preparing our facilities for re-opening.
We will keep you posted on any and all updates via email and social media platforms. We love you, church!
In these rapidly changing times, our prayer is that you would sense God's presence and trust in His love. Know that you are loved by Him, and know we are continually praying for you.
Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:8
